The CLAT 2025 is a national-level entrance exam for admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programs at 22 National Law Universities in India

The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) will release the notification for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 on July 7 on the official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The CNLU is expected to share important details about the exams, including the syllabus, application process and counselling procedure.

The CNLU official notification read, “The CLAT 2025 advertisement is scheduled to be released in Print/ Electronic Media on 7th July 2024.”

Previously, CLAT 2025 exam dates were announced in May. According to the official notice, the entrance test will be held on December 1, 2024. The test will take place in a single shift from 2 pm to 4 pm.

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national-level entrance exam for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programs at 22 National Law Universities in India. The exam is administered by the Consortium of National Law Universities, which represents these institutions at the national level.

CLAT 2025: Eligibility Criteria

To apply for CLAT UG 2025, the candidates should have passed Class 12 with at least 45 per cent marks. For SC/ST students 40 per cent marks are required. Also, candidates appearing in Class 12 exams can apply.

To apply for CLAT PG 2025, the candidates must have passed a 3-year or 5-year LLB with a minimum of 50 per cent marks. Candidates appearing for the final year graduation program can also apply.

CLAT 2025: How to apply

Step 1: Head to the official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

Step 2: Upon reaching the homepage, click on the CLAT 2025 Registration link.

Step 3: You will be redirected to a new page asking for your login details.

Step 4: Enter your login credentials and click on proceed.

Step 5: Fill in the registration form carefully and pay the application fee.

Step 6: Click on submit.

Step 7: Download and take a printout of the CLAT 2025 application form for future reference.

CLAT 2025: Registration Fee

Candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories need to pay an application fee of Rs 4,000, while the applicants belonging to the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes need to deposit a fee of Rs 3,500.

–– Category Certificate (if applicable)

–– If the candidate belongs to the PWD category, they must provide a relevant certificate issued by an authorized body.

–– Similarly, if the candidate belongs to the BPL category, a relevant certificate is required issued by an authorised body.
