The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) has issued a notification for WBJEE counselling 2024. Students, who have received a rank in the Joint Entrance Examination conducted in the state or the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2024, can register for WBJEE counselling via the wbjeeb.nic.in. The results for WBJEE 2024 were announced on June 6 and a total of 1,12,963 students qualified for the exam this year.

The WBJEE 2024 counselling will take place in three stages — allotment, upgradation and mop up. All procedures, including registration, preference selection, allotment and payment of the seat acceptance fee, will be completed online using a centralised system. Candidates will be granted a seat based on the seat matrix and participating college list accessible on the official website. Candidates must pay an Rs 500 registration fee for the allotment round. For the mop-up round, an extra fee of Rs 200 is required.

Documents Required For WBJEE Counselling 2024 —

–– To verify your date of birth, provide the Class 10 admit card or birth certificate.

–– Marksheet for Class 10

–– Marksheet for class 12

–– Candidates from West Bengal must have a domicile certificate.

–– If applicable, provide a category certificate or Persons with Disabilities (PwD) certificate.

–– Income certificate for Tuition Fee Waiver (TFW) rank holders.

Candidates must carefully select their preference during the choice filling process and they will later be given the chance to upgrade if their first selection is not allotted. Following seat locking, the first round allocation results will be announced. The student seeking admission is required to pay Rs 5,000 as a seat acceptance fee in order to secure their preferred seat or be considered for an upgrade. Non-payment of the fee will result in the cancellation of the candidate’s allotted seat and they will not be considered for future rounds.

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination is held annually for candidates seeking admission to undergraduate engineering, pharmacy and architecture programmes at various West Bengal universities, government colleges and institutes. The WBJEE exam was held on April 28 in pen and paper format at several locations in the state. Paper 1 (Mathematics) was held from 11 am to 1 pm, followed by Paper 2 (Physics and Chemistry) from 2 pm to 4 pm.
