The final week of January will see the announcement of the Indian Army’s Agniveer Recruitment 2024. The Agnipath Scheme is used by the Indian Army to choose the Agniveers. During their first year of service, candidates who join through the Agnipath initiative will get an in-hand pay of Rs 21,000, which will increase annually. In addition to their pay, they would receive a ‘Seva Nidhi’’ package of Rs 10,04,000 when they leave the job after four years. Depending on organisational requirements, 25% of Agniveers who complete their four years of service will be granted permanent service.

The age limit of the candidates applying for these posts should be between 17.5 years and 21 years. Only then will they be considered eligible to apply for Agniveer in the Indian Army. Only unmarried male and female candidates can join as Agniveers.

Agniveer (General Duty):- Candidates should have passed the class 10th/Matriculation examination with 33% marks from any recognized board or institute. Also, preference will be given to candidates having a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license.

Agniveer (Technical):- Must have passed class 12th (40% marks) with Physics, Chemistry, Maths and English subjects from any recognised board or institute.

Agniveer (Clerk/Store Keeper Technical):- Must have passed 10th with minimum 50% marks in any stream (Arts, Commerce, Science).

Agniveer (Tradesman):- Must have passed 10th in any class with 33% marks.

Agniveer (Tradesman):- Must have passed class 8th with 33% marks from any recognised board or institute.

There are two phases to the Indian Army’s Agniveer selection procedure. An online written exam will be the first step, and a recruitment rally will be the second. A computer-based Common Entrance Exam (CEE) will be administered nationwide during Stage 1. Each candidate must show up at the exam location listed on their admission card, which is issued by the Indian Army. A shortlist of candidates would be selected for the recruitment rally based on the number of available openings. They must report to the assigned Recruitment Rally venue at the stated time and day for phase II.
